川越「うつくし」スポット Kawagoe "Beautiful" Spot

戦国時代から江戸時代にかけて関東の要所として存在感を示した名城で、本丸御殿が現存する城址は全国で２つ、東日本では川越城が唯一のうちの１つ。周辺には往時を偲ばせる遺構がある。 This famous castle was a key location in the Kanto region from the Sengoku period through to the Edo period, and is one of only two castle sites in Japan with its main castle palace still standing, and the only one in eastern Japan. There are remains of the castle in the surrounding area that recall the past.
