  • Mito Kairakuen
    The name Kairakuen is taken from a passage by Mencius, which reads, "The ancients enjoyed themselves together with the people, and so they enjoyed themselves well." It is a famous plum blossom viewing spot, with around 3,000 plum trees of about 100 varieties blooming in early spring.
  • Mito Keisei Hotel
    You can enjoy Beijing cuisine, which can be said to be the culmination of food that has been cultivated in Beijing, the home of imperial cuisine. In February, enjoy shrimp with chili sauce and crab fried rice, and in March, enjoy sauteed scallops and spring vegetables with salt and cherry shrimp fried rice.
  • Kodokan
    It was the largest of all the domain schools and taught in a wide range of subjects. The interior of Kodokan is filled with the atmosphere of the time when it was a domain school, and as soon as you step inside, you'll feel as if you've traveled back in time to the Edo period. There are about 800 plum trees of 60 varieties planted on the grounds, making it a famous plum viewing spot.
