Located in Nagano City, Hokosha Shrine is one of the five Togakushi Shrines. It is known for overseeing scholarship, arts, and safe childbirth, attracting many visitors. Surrounded by lush greenery, visitors can appreciate the solemn atmosphere, beautiful temple architecture, and intricate carvings.

In the Amanoiwa door opening myth, it is said that Amaterasu Omikami, who had hidden in the rock, danced in front of the rock in order to appear again. It enshrines Ameno Uzume no Mikoto. Since ancient times, it has been known as the god of bugaku performing arts and the god of good luck. It is respected. In the precincts, there are the ``Couple's Cedar'' (Nihonsugi), which is over 500 years old, and the famous Saigyo Sakura.

While preserving the traditional techniques of making Togakushi soba, we pursue new flavors and serve fresh soba that is hand-made every morning. Using homemade buckwheat flour, you can enjoy the aromatic soba that is unique to Togakushi.

This shrine, also within the Togakushi complex, specifically honors the deity of water and fertility, Kuzuryu Daigami. Located in a particularly scenic part of Togakushi, it offers visitors the experience of fresh air and tranquility, making it a popular shrine known for its mystical atmosphere.

This is the most remote of the five shrines at Togakushi. The path to Okusha is long and surrounded by nature, believed to promote spiritual purification as one walks. The strong natural energy here makes it a popular power spot visited by many.
