  • Komoro Castle Ruins Kaikoen
Komoro Castle is the setting for Toson Shimazaki's masterpiece, "Komoro Naru Kojo no Hotori." Within the park, a "three-color maple tree" with a single leaf that is red, yellow, and green was discovered, which became a hot topic.
  • Nakadanaso Harikoshitei (exterior)
Nakadanaso is an inn with ties to Shimazaki Toson. It is a long-established inn founded in 1898. At Harikoshitei, a restaurant run by Nakadanaso, you can enjoy the local flavors of Komoro, such as boiled udon noodles and hand-made soba noodles.
  • Nakadanaso Harikoshitei (interior)
This building was relocated from an old house that was originally built along the Hokkoku Kaido road in 1868 as an indigo dyeing shop over a period of 12 years from the end of the Edo period. The dirt floor on the south side and the kitchen are still in the same position as they were in the past.
