Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine, famous as a power spot for matchmaking, is said to have been founded about 1,500 years ago. It is worshiped as the "god of matchmaking" and "god of family harmony" because it enshrines two married couples and Oonamuchi-no-Mikoto, who is also known as the matchmaking god of Izumo Taisha. The "Tai fortune-telling slips" and "matchmaking balls" are popular.
